What is Azure Blob Storage?

Azure Blob storage is Microsoft's object storage solution for the cloud. Blob storage is optimized for storing massive amounts of unstructured data. It allows users to store large amounts of unstructured data on Microsoft’s data storage platform. Azure Blob storage is more focused on common storage purposes of unstructured, large objects such as images and multimedia files.

Azure Blob storage, the binary large object files (photos, videos, training documents, etc.) are put in containers which function similar to directories. These are then linked to the storage account.

Extract Data From Azure Blob Storage

Loome makes it simple to connect to Azure Blob Storage and extract data for downstream systems such as an Integration Hub, Reporting Data Store, Data Lake or Enterprise Data Warehouse. In-built features allow bulk selection of all source tables/files to be automatically synced on a regular schedule, minimising data load size leveraging incremental logic.

Load Data into Azure Blob Storage

Loome allows you to quickly onboard your data to the cloud and load your entire data source into Azure Blob Storage to support your Data Integration Hub, Reporting Data Store, Data Lake or Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Loome automatically generates target staging table structures, including automatic change detection to retain a full audit history of each version of a record received.

Provision Resources for Azure Blob Storage

Loome enables Analysts, Researchers and Engineers to select and manage their own compute and storage resources in the cloud with native support for Azure Blob Storage.

Loome allows you to turn resources on and off easily and keep track of expenditure and receive alerts when approaching your specified budget, so that you are in control of your usage. Project Workspaces help you to organise all of your resources in one place and invite colleagues to collaborate on projects with shared resources, documents and chat.
